Pastor Joe Gilliam and family
Joe Gilliam has served as elder at the Reformed Baptist Church of Virginia Beach since May 2007. In 2000, he received his B.A. in church ministries from Clearwater Christian College. He then went on to receive his masters of divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. He has also completed graduate work from Reformed Theological Seminary. The Lord saved Joe during his junior year of college. During this year, the Lord saw fit for Joe to change his major from business to church ministries. While attending Clearwater, Joe met his wife Sabrina and married in 2003. God has blessed them with four children: Noah, Georgia, Titus, and Silas. After seminary, the Lord called Joe to his first pastorate in Florida where he served for four years. Through the weekly studying of God's Word, and reading many godly men in church history, the Lord began to cement the doctrines of the reformation in Joe's heart. We praise the Lord for his providential hand and for bringing Pastor Joe to serve here at Grace Covenant Church.
